+ Shrule Pet Farm

Shrule pet farm is a pet farm as well as being a commercial deer farm. Here you will find all the usual farm animals like lambs, cows and pigs. The focus here is on breeding and preserving poultry. Kids can hold and pet much of the animals, provided they are under supervision. There are also guided tours, where the deer can be hand fed. There is also an equestrian centre, with horse riding and pony trekking. You will also find a playground for the children, with slides, swings, see saw, sand pit and activity gym. There are refreshments for the adults to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The gift shop has a range of souvenirs to bring home.

This really has something for all the family, with bungee trampolines, bumper boats, bowling, kids karting, games arcade and much more. There is also the Lagoon café where you can relax and unwind while the kids play. The adventure golf is unique in Ireland, compromising of rivers, caves and tropical gardens. Gravity is known for having the largest adventure ropes course in Ireland – not for the faint hearted! There are different levels, so no matter what your level, there is something for you. Everything is done in a relaxed yet controlled atmosphere, which allows you to build up your confidence and push yourself onto the next thrill! There is also a junior course for three to seven year olds. For those not interested in the ropes, there is archery and laser tag. This is a family ran open farm in Gorey, Co Wexford. Children can pet animals and feed them while supervised. Here you will find rabbits, chickens, pigs, donkeys, hamsters and much more – all the favourites! Sean Ogs boasts a wonderful, traditional old style bar. Complete with open fires in the winter and outdoor seating in the summer, Sean Ogs has a great atmosphere all year round. There is a bar menu with all the Irish favourites, as well as specials. Matches are played on the screens for those into their sport. Trad sessions happen every Tuesday, as well as live music on Saturdays. On Monday and Wednesday nights during the school holidays, there is a kids disco to keep the young ones entertained! Oldbawn beach has been awarded its green flag. This beautiful beach is filled with wildlife, sheltered by sand dunes and is simply a lovely place to unwind, swim, play or exercise. The beach is adjoining to Morriscastle beach, so if you like walking, this is a fantastic stretch.

+ Irish Seal Sanctuary

The Irish Seal Sanctuary is a wonderful facility that runs the hospital, rescue and rehabilitation of seals. The sanctuary receives no funding and raises money themselves and through generosity of the public. They run daily tours where you can learn about these animals. Feeding takes place at 4pm daily.
